"My favourite hotel in Melbourne - top end of Bourke Street, which is a great area for restaurants, bars, green spaces etc. The hotel staff are wonderful - they always make me feel very welcome; their service is impeccable. The rooms are excellent - I usually book the premium king - just a note to ask for the larger ones - there are two different sizes. The slightly smaller one is still great, but I like to be able to walk around my space. I haven't tried the restaurant - Dollys."

"Great hotel in excellent location. In heart of Melb for theatres, restaurants, bars, and Chinatown. Great, quiet room, with comfy bed and good amenities. Tram stop in next street. A highlight, was the free Happy Hour each 5-6pm. Parking was nearby at a cost of $27/day, unless Expedia Gold - then free. Would definitely stay there again."

"Room layout felt spacious and comfortable. Limited amenities but a great price for a city hotel in an excellent location. Great soundproofing meant the room was very quiet. Only negative was a periodic drain smell in the bathroom."

"The Rydges was perfect for a quick solo getaway in the city. The room was large and clean and the staff were incredibly friendly. The rooftop pool was lovely - perfect temp and with a great view! "Gorgeous balcony suite overlooking a beautiful church. Just outside any busy area so it takes about 3 blocks of walking to get to the tram. Breakfast buffet was adequate"

"We had a great stay. Lanbruk is a very easy walk to the MCG and Rod Laver. The rooms are very modern, clean and well equipped. They were also kind enough to give us an early check in. You do get some noise from Bridge Rd but it wasn’t an issue. "

"My daughter and her carer went to Melbourne to see the ballet. They again stayed at Citadines which refers to, “a posh hotel”. The staff have always made her feel important and the rooms, well she loves them, she gets her own bedroom. Citadines on Bourke is in a great location to shows, theatre, restaurants and transport. Reasonably priced and superb facilities."
