"Immaculate. The room was simple but modern with great bathroom. Check in is via a video call screen in reception but this works very well. Amazing value for money in Switzerland. We’re didn’t eat breakfast as we had to leave early but it would have been 14.90 and looked to be a simple but generous buffet."

This hotel fit the bill for that purpose for a three-night stay, being no more than five minutes from the station on a very direct route. It's a fairly basic property and has seen better days, but it is priced accordingly, so that was a fair trade-off for me. Breakfast options were limited, but again it was priced accordingly. "Annie, the owner of the place, has been amazing and incredibly kind. We came by train and she offerred to pick us up at the station. Room was very big and incredibly clean. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Skiing slopes can be easily accessed thanks to all the cable cars."
