"Heat wave caused our 2nd floor room to be intolerable. Husband had to sit in lobby in the night for hours. An air cond room on floor 8 was given to us for the next two nights but it was a fight. Cuddos to Kati for getting us the new room, which was lovely."

"Loved the location of the hotel - very convenient. Room was very colorful - one of the art rooms. Would mention that it was on the third floor so a lot of steps and no elevator. We were fine with it but a question that should be asked if mobility issues. Wonderful restaurants (we went to one) and bar area with outside seating. Were helpful with getting a cab and leaving luggage. Would recommend."

"The location is amazing, right in the centre of Basel and close to everything. My only issue was that the air conditioning didn't work. The first night, I could understand why the room was hot because of the weather, but afterwards the temperatures outside were much cooler and the room was still uncomfortably warm. If a comfortable room temperature is important to you, I would avoid staying here."

"Beautiful hotel and lovely room. Generally the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue was with the wakeup call and taxi booking we scheduled for the following morning - the staff completely forgot to call us, saying they had a different time. We were able to show the front desk the hand written note from their staff the previous night confirming the time we had requested. Fortunately we work up ourselves so made it in time for our flight. Mistakes can happen, that I understand, and it all worked out, but what was disappointing is that at no point did the person on the front desk apologize for the oversight on their part, instead was more adamant that the mistake was not on their end, despite being able to produce the hand written note from his own colleagues."
