"We stayed for one night in early June, the hotel was bright, fresh and modern. The location is right in the centre of Sandakan and a useful base to explore. We had an evening meal at the restaurant which was better than average and reasonably priced. Breakfast was ok, they could have more on offer but what they did they did well. Overall I would stay again."

"For the area of Sandakan that this hotel is in this is a pretty good option if you really have to stay here! I would not recommend the area at all. The staff here were very attentive and friendly. The room was adequate but the pillows were horrendous! Just lumpy lumps of hard sponge! The shower and sink use a pump system which was not smooth at all and you either had a ‘power’ shower or a trickle. "The London Hotel is pleasant with friendly staff, close to the centre of the town and its amenities. The shower was excellent and bed comfortable. The rooms were quiet so a good nigt's sleep is assured. It has no lift so if you have mobility problems be aware there are stairs to climb to the rooms."
