"This is a great hotel for the price point. It does not offer a lot of amenities, though a modest breakfast is included, but it does offer high value for a budget-minded hotel. Very easy on / off highway location. I want to give a special shout out to Ken at the front desk, who was super friendly upon arrival and then extremely helpful once I left an item in the room after I went home. "

"Staff was friendly and the price was affordable. Location was close to local attractions. The buiding is older and hidden from the road. Our room needed some fresh paint in some areas. Anyone can walk in the building without swiping. You do swipe to get in your room. Our door had obviously come off and was not reinstalled properly. We saw daylight, it drug on the floor, and the safety hardware was not fully screwed in. The white towels, blankets, and sheets had old stains. The shower knob came...

"I was very disappointed, but it served its purpose. We were there for a funeral just really needed a place to sleep. The place was nothing like the pictures at all!! Room was ok , bathroom very neglected (paint and rust, facet was loose and pretty much coming apart. Door not properly insulated cold draft coming in. I do not recommend this Red Roof Inn,"

"My 2nd time at Penn Stroud. I am here for my daughter who goes to ESU. The rooms are very clean and allow me comfort when I come here. My bed is always comfortable. The front desk people are very nice & helpful"

"Stayed here a few time because of its location to the Strousburg and the Gap! Being able to walk to the trailhead, fishing, restaturants/bars, coffee shops and senic views outweights any defect in my eyes as long as its clean. The hotel needs some updating but based on location and price, its fine. "

"Spent 3 nights at the stroudsmoor country inn. Wonderful hospitality, all the staff is very helpful, kind and engaging. Breakfast was included in my staying and absolutely delicious. I stayed at the Main inn. Rooms are clean, many amenities from warm rooms, swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness room, apples, coffee, teas along the corridors, buffet brunch on Sunday’s and all the outdoor offers hikes and beautiful views on the poconos. Very happy with my staying at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn. "
