"We love this inn/hotel. Located in the heart of downtown Newburyport with walkable restaurants and shops all around. Onsite parking, too. Staff is wonderful and helpful. The free breakfast is fresh, with fruit, many kinds of cereal, English muffins, bagels, muffins, hard cooked eggs, cheese, egg sandwiches, etc etc. (and if you want pancakes, omelettes, etc., Angie’s Coffee shop is steps away and opens at 6 am). Essex Inn has a variety of room types, accessible rooms, many with a gas fireplace....

"This place is a Gem! Great wedding destination. Rooms are so beautiful. Love the modern/ Antique flare. Rooms are stocked with drinks and snacks with reasonable price. Breakfast and coffee is gourmet. The restaurant is really good, and Spa looks very nice next to the pool. Definitely visiting them again. Staff was so friendly! "
