Excellent location for parliament and galleries. Only topic was that the room seemed to creak a lot in the evening (like floor boards expanding and contracting) which was surprisingly loud. But seemed to calm down and got a good nights sleep. Would definitely stay again. "

"Small cosey hotel located in a quieter area compared to CBD, with several restaurants nearby. About 20-30 min. walk to Lake Burley Griffin and Kinston Foreshore. Overall, a very relaxing stay."

"A repeat visit for me. Such an historic and stylish hotel. Evokes the early days of the Australian federation and simpler times. The rooms are comfortable, cosy and well-equipped. Accessible to the wider city by the excellent R6 bus service. An enjoyable walk or bike ride to the Parliament building (old and new), National Gallery, High Court and Questacon. Great great staff and good value."

"Good location for walking to ANU. The cooked breakfast was good but I had to explain to staff on four different occasions that it was included in my room rate. The room was set to very dim lighting and was very dusty which was visible along the edges of the carpet and doorframes. "
