Very close to the ferry port and metro station. The hotel looks and feels new. Great breakfast. Only minor issue would be the single slow elevator. But not that bad either
Very clean and has all the things we needed for the night stay before our cruise. It cost us just 8 euros to get to our ship. Staff were very helpful and the restaurant has great menu and the breakfast was awesome. It is also a new hotel.
Convenience is key! I have a cruise at Piraeus. Booked this for two reasons - straight shot taking the M3 from Athens airport on the Metro train, and walking distance (5 minutes) from the Metro.

This hotel is located in the Piraeus Port area, so you experience the ambiance of an active port and big city, yet far enough away that our street was remarkably quiet. It was close to our cruise ship terminal (gate), which was a priority for us. Transportation to terminal was included in the room charge. We received door to door service. We stayed here before leaving on a cruise. It was a perfect location, with plenty of restaurants and stores within walking distance, and a very short taxi ride to the cruise terminal. The staff was very helpful and our room was ready a little early for weary travelers!
Great hotel! The breakfast was incredible. The beach is across a busy road, but it is easy to access. We booked a tour to the Temple of Poseidon with the hotel's concierge. This tour was the highlight of our stay and we really enjoyed our tour guide.

We stay at Athens Gate every time we visit Athens. The staff is wonderful. They are friendly, helpfu, and always give great recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing, etc.we have stayed at the Gate often and have never been disappointed.
I was not given the upgrade as i had requested it, and all my other rooms that i had booked did have an upgrade...
I also had to wait for my room, while the other rooms were given early checkin....

Great location, nice big space, modern furnishings. Sometimes it took awhile to get a response to messages but the woman who was on site at times was super helpful when we ran into her. Our balcony door didn’t work properly so we were unable to sit at the cute table and chairs outside. But overall a great spot and would definitely recommend it.
My stay was a wonderful experience, the staff was amazingly welcoming and helpful, the hotel is perfectly located. I look forward to returning to Athens and staying at the Retro once again.
We loved this hotel. From the second we arrived the service was excellent. They allowed us an early check in and we stayed in the wellness suite. The rooftop pool and restaurant were amazing-better than pictured with spectacular views. The breakfast buffet which was included in our price was incredible. Our room was very clean as was the entire property.
