The setting was stunning, the hotel was well run, with friendly staff who spoke English well enough to give us info on the local area and make up for my meagre knowledge of German. The breakfasts were excellent and sitting outside in the evening, watching the traffic on the Rhine with a beer (or two) was blissful. The village of Assmannshausen was full of character and the nearby town of Rudesheim lively. We will definitely return to the Unter den...
