"I booked this apartment because the description said it was within walking distance of Sandwich town centre, and the map that was displayed prior to booking indicated it was located off Moat Sole in Sandwich town centre. It was only after I had gone through the booking process for what was a seriously expensive booking, a new address was provided for the property approx 1.6 miles away in Woodnesborough! I have restricted mobility and needed to be closer to the town so I asked if I could cancel....

"Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding. All staff were so lovely and happy and helpful. Spotlessly clean- cleaners were amazing! Didn’t book a wedding party room so mine was at the back of the hotel. The room would have been small for two people but for me, on my own, it was fine. Great ensuite. Breakfast was nice. A little bit of a continental choice and a choice from the menu of delicious hot food. I would definitely stay again but book a room with a sea view."

"This is a gem of a place. So,cosy,quiet even though in the old town. So tastefully decorated inside and the patio areas. Lovely teas to sample in the room. Paul was helpful and charming when I finnaly found him! Fabulous stay"

Although closed for a private event. Air-conditioning room. Free parking, short walk to seafront. Downhill going, uphill back. Would definitely stay again."

"Perfect stay! Would have loved to stay longer. Room 9 with sea view (got upgraded last min) what a blessing to wake up with sea view with a cup of tea! Bed super confortable (king size), bathroom with high standard and super clean. Breakfast fresh and simple card, i.e means fresh produce and it was. Super nice staff. If I can come back, I would!"

"We had a fantastic stay at Churchill Gardens. Alex was very helpful and it was great to park at the property. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast. There is a shared kitchen and various delicious items are provided from cereals, granola, yoghurt, fruit to bread, toast, crumpets, eggs and muffins. All the utensils and things for cooking are also provided such as sauces and oils so you can make an evening meal if you want to. The room (Victoria) was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated...

"The accommodation was lovely and even accommodated for our family of 5 and situated in a great location for walking or water fun on the river as well as being not to far from the coast. the people that run this property was lovely friendly and very helpful. We stayed on a Tuesday when the pub and restaurant was closed so can't comment on the evening meals but the breakfast was lovely and plenty of choices would definitely come back."

"Good room, good bar and wide choice and excellently cooked breakfast and dinner. Plenty of parking and outside tables for when the weather permits. Good view, and excellent location for visiting Canterbury and the Kent countryside. Also very convenient for golfers wishing to play at Canterbury Golf Course, lovely course, just up the road from The Evenhill. "
