"We stayed 2 nights here and found the experience pleasent. The hotel staff were friendly and spoke english very well, communication was easy. The neighborhood was quiet and charming, a short walk away from To-ji Temple and Umekoji park. Beds were comfortable, much more so than other hotels we stayed at. The room and bathroom were spacious. The only downside to the quiet neighborhood setting was it is a slightly longer walk to Kyoto station or restuarants and shops (Aeon mall is not far). Not a...

"We loved our stay here. The owner responded immediately to any questions we had. It was a short walk to the convenience store and train station. The machiya had everything we needed, and we loved the quiet and privacy it offered over a hotel. We highly recommend it and would stay here again if we have the opportunity."
