We considered staying in Paestum to be close to the great temples but knowing that La Mortella was only 20 minutes away convinced us to try something different during our Italia tour. "A pretty amazing place. Looks very luxurious, the restaurant and the meal was super fancy and yet very reasonably priced. We couldn’t understand why the place was mostly empty, but we stayed mid-week, and the place clearly caters to Italians (even the spa menu was only in Italian). The air-conditioning in the room was not very strong and very noisy, but otherwise very nice room. "

"Had a great stay here. Very good location, in walking distance to most sights and the railway station. Good restaurants close by. Friendly and welcoming staff. The best surprise was a room with a balcony overlooking the river. Very peaceful, good bed and bedlinen, well lit room and bathroom. Everything clean. Good breakfast. Very happy to stay here again."
