"Our room was absolutely beautiful, and very clean. The owner is very personable and lovely to speak with. We took our provided outdoor chairs over to a grassy area to enjoy the water view. Out of the 7 hotels we’ve stayed out on this trip, Fair Isle ranks #1. "
"We had a great experience staying at the Trailsman Lodge. We had a wonderful Lake view even with a last minute reservation. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included which was a great bonus and very yummy. "
"Great place, Staff is great especially Marley , was very helpful, informative and patient. Room very clean and cozy. Premises very clean and beautiful. "
"We loved staying here and exploring the Cape Breton area with this as our base. The room was comfortable, and there was a Pub on the premises that served good food. Though the breakfast buffet was pricy. The view from the room was worth it.

"This place is amazing for a quiet getaway. It’s so secluded we thought we were lost! Even GPS was confused. I guess a lot of the clientele are locals because the restaurant was packed for dinner both nights were there. It’s an older establishment, but well maintained. It’s a beautiful location and the employees were so friendly. We would definitely stay here again!"
