"My wife and I stayed in Haus am Stadttor for two nights in August 2025. We absolutely loved the place. It is perfectly located and very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need for a short or long-term stay. We slept like babies in the comfortable bed and enjoyed the quiet, though the house is located a very short walk to the altstadt. Mathias was also very friendly, welcoming, kind, helpful and flexible. He let us check in early and allowed us a late check-out. All-in-all, a great...

"Always consistent and nice place to stay, with good amenities. Only thing that could be improved would be to have move electric car charging points - there is only 1 at the moment and would make the stay more comfortable if there was one..."

"The hotel has recently been created from an old schoolhouse and they have done a beautiful job. The entire place is immaculate and nicely appointed. There is a bar and restaurant on site which also has a buffet breakfast available. Staff was helpful and friendly. We have family in Schwelm so we will definitely stay here when we visit again and will encourage other family members to do the same."

"Die Whirlpoolbadewanne in der Deluxe Suite ist perfekt zum Entspannen. Die vollausgestatte Küche und der große Fernseher im Wohnzimmerbereich sind auch perfekt geeignet für längere Aufenthalte. Obwohl wir die einzigen Gäste im Hotel waren, haben wir nur für uns ein kleines Frühstücksbuffet bekommen:) Check-in und out waren sehr entspannt und einfach per Zahlenkombination möglich.
