I would rate this 10 stars if I had the option. Amazing experience - beautiful property that was true to Sardinian history and culture - very tastefully and comfortably decorated. Service was extremely friendly and helpful - they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Wine and snacks in the courtyard was so peaceful and enjoyable. Without a doubt, they get a “10” they made us feel like family and we loved every second. Food was excellent and service was fantastic. This is one place I plan to return without hesitation.
The property itself is beautiful in a historical area of Gesturi . Ignazio, the owner is very accommodating and helpful and friendly . Their family make a delicious bread from scratch for breakfast . They make wine , they make cheese, they provide fruits from their farm and more . For breakfast, it’s all organic food from their farm .
We had a lovely time, and although our host didn't speak English, we managed to communicate (thank you, google). The farm is lovely and perfect for strolls. Breakfast was nice and one evening we got a generous and delicious dinner that turned out to be complimentary. Would definitely recommend.
When someone says “feel at home”, this is what it should be. There wasn’t anything I lacked, and the hosts went out of their way to ensure everything was comfortable. Breakfast on a veranda with a view, the sounds of birds and sheep moving up into the hills in the morning, it was lovely. An excellent hidden gem, I plan to come back again for sure. Grazie!
Omu Axiu is exactly what we needed to get the feel of Sardinia. After how busy Cagliari was and even Costa Sud, it was a dream to get to the hotel and homestead. Monika and Claudia made us feel so welcome and fed us like royalty for dinner and breakfast. very rustic atmosphere which is what we were looking for.
Amazing place. A cozy 200 year old house kept in perfect state. Situated in a small village in the middle of the Sardinian highlands.

Our stay was lovely. We were close to the airport but a bit further out in the country than we initially thought. We were given an excellent taxi recommendation though and everything was very clean, quiet, and enjoyable!
The staff at the front desk and the restaurant were as good as can be. The hotel is clean and modern, with an excellent location in an interesting town of Assemini near the Decimomannu Air Base.
