Very small for a Fairmont but very nice property with all 72 rooms facing the sea. Everything you could want is on the property. Only challenge is that, for those who must roam, you must walk a bit to town, take a very convenient and inexpensive public bus, or taxi if you don't have a rental car.

The Colony Club upgraded our room (probably possible only because it was off-season), and started our vacation off right with delicious rum punches and a bottle of champagne. From the moment we checked in (on our honeymoon) until we left 6 days later our experience was awesome. The general manager took the time to learn our name, greet us upon arrival and again as we left. Fellow guests were all friendly. My rental car's battery died and they took care of everything while we were off playing golf. The food, especially daily breakfast, was fabulous. All needs were anticipated without request necessary. All-in-all, a great trip (I highly recommend Barbados as well).
A well-maintained property with clean rooms, great pool and a very nice beach, with helpful staff that are happy to set up sun beds with towels and shade. If you are trying to decide between the Marriott properties- this is definitely the best (more to open soon though). I never review any place I've been, but this place really exceeded my expectations.
First off, I should say: The staff said this was their busy season, with occupancy around 90%. But, it didn't feel that way. No problem getting a table at the restaurants, no problems finding a place to sit at any of the pools... even if we came down at noon, there were always beach chairs available.

Had a great stay at Mango Bay for five nights in mid April 2017. Reviews were right on. We had a room overlooking the pool with a partial view of the ocean. The pool closes early, noise was never an issue. The beach was small but amazing, highly underrated. The best part is the food! Our first trip to Barbados and we chose the Royalton Essence. Its a brand new resort and so we got a big discount for coming during soft launch. The report is amazing with beautiful rooms and a swimable beach great for snorkeling. The staff are the highlight of the resort. The people are amazingly friendly and they go above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. There is entertainment throughout the day and at night. Everyone we met had a great time.
