Pool and jacuzzi were maintained daily and it was the perfect way to finish off the day with a couple of beers. Alcohol and snacks are sold half a block away. The room was very comfortable. The restaurant was very good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. It is very remote so hiking and horseback riding are the options - what I was seeking. Took in the night sky given the darkness that surrounds. The road from the nearest town to the hotel is in horrible condition but being replaced, at least in part. The hotel is a marvel and the Manage of Operations Juan Carlos Rios is tremendous--he is everywhere--greeting you upon arrival, getting the bellman to take luggage to the room, park the car, then in the restaurant and even assisting with travel directions for your onward journey. This hotel is an old hacienda from 1910 with a cool nature trail. There is a great breakfast provided in lovely dining room with a fire place. The land scape is nicely maintained with pretty flowers and birds all around.
