Lille is applauded for its museums and art with such cultural attractions as Opera House and Le Palais des Beaux Arts de Lille. Visitors to this family-friendly city speak highly of the restaurants whereas sights include La Grande Braderie de Lille and Old Stock Exchange.
The city pass was well worth getting; being able to hop on and off buses and the metro enabled us to visit places too far away for us to walk. And even then, we didn't manage to visit everywhere we wanted to, as there is just so much to see and do.

Lille exceeded my expectations and I wish I'd stayed longer. The area around the Citadel is beautiful and peaceful. I enjoyed the beautiful old town but also walking through the pretty neighborhood by the university.

"Wasn't aware of the amazing balcony view of belfry tower. Nice cool older building in summer but with modern refit, really enjoyed our stay and will likely return if in Lille again."
"Great location very close to Lille Europe and Lille Flanders train stations. Very short walk to get to old town (10 minutes walk). Basic hotel, but clean, quiet and comfortable. Small, but nice bathroom. Small room with minibar fridge. Air conditioning being installed right now which will be a bonus. Would stay again, terrific value for money. "
