A nice and quiet costal town along the NC500 route. It has enough restaurants, a Tesco supermarket and a gas station to stock up supplies.

Ullapool was quiet as we expected but the location was ideal for a one night stop over
"Lovely place to stay in a lovely place. Warm welcome with the offer of a whiskey or sherry. Good breakfast, plenty of variety. Rooms are small but have everything you need. The only negative was the basin is tiny, not great for shaving or anything other than washing your hands"
