Lovely room. Breakfast was fantastc. Hostess Debra helpful. Lovely common room with good selection of Orcadian history, bird watching and ancient sites. Mainland Orkney is an amazing place. Too much to see, too little time. Should have spent a week there. Strommness does nothave many food choices..
I had the best, tastiest breakfast ever. Nothing fancy just really great tasting. The eggs were so fresh and I had the same thing all three mornings and it was very consistent. Room was great. Great location. Easy to find. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone who wants a lovely place to stay that’s very comfortable. 11 out of 10 for breakfast!
Would recommend facecloth in bathrooms, plus small towel rack for hand towel above toilet (room 212), plus recommend at least one hand rail in shower.

Murray Arms Hotel is the nicest place I’ve stayed. The family owned hotel is warm & cozy with exceptional hospitality, superb food & chill ambiance by the shore. Great location, peaceful, charming & lovely retreat. Locals enjoy it too.
Wonderful place. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly. The room had everything we needed. The restaurant was superb - a great choice for dinner. The only gripe was that it was a little hard to find - Main Street isn't terribly main.
Several of the staff were very helpful, like Ross and Joseph. I initially had a dorm room, but there wasn't enough space for me to layout equipment I needed each day. Was very happy to switch to a private room. Great set up for kitchen use.
