I loved this place! I will definitely make this a stop whenever I am in Croatia. It was my favorite place of all those we stayed in on this trip. It was beautifully appointed, small so not over-run with guests, and although quiet and safe, it was also right in the middle of the action. Right on the water, next to an amazing fort, and a maze of quaint shops and restaurants just outside the door, this is beautiful small property with all the amenities! Absolutely recommend it!
I didn't really want to give this 5 star review as this is my new favorite place and want to keep it a secret. It's a long flight for me but I will be back asap, hopefully my Birthday.
Because of its location on Marjan Hill, it can be a little difficult to find without GPS. We left our car parked and walked up and down to the Riva. If you aren't in reasonably good shape, you might find this to be a problem. But, once you get there, you will find a marvelous hotel. Clean, well run, wonderful staff, good bar, nice swimming pool (and I'm not much for swimming). The breakfast buffet is good and you can tell they take pride in their work. This boutique hotel worked perfectly for our three nights in Spilt. It is so convenient and easy to get to from the ferry terminal/train station. It was a 3 minute walk to the market and then into the palace walls. As I watched people dragging their suitcases through the palace looking for their accommodations I was so thankful I was staying where I was. Once we decided to stay outside of Split in the neighbouring town of Trogir, Brown Beach Hotel was an easy decision. On arrival, we were seated in the gorgeously designed lounge for the check in process, during which we were offered sparkling wine and cold towels to freshen up. The staff were very helpful and kind, and they even let me check in at 10:30 in the morning when I arrived. The room was very large with everything you could want or need. The property was close to the beach and an easy walk to the Riva. I also appreciate that the restaurant marked dishes as gluten free; it was one of the only ones in Split I found to do that.
Beautiful well-kept modern hotel. Breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious with nice long hours to suit your schedule. Location was lovely - tucked into a nice neighborhood and near a beach, but an easy walk to central Split sights. Beautiful roof top pool with great views and sunsets!
Our room was large, spacious and very nice. The complimentary bottle of wine in our room was unexpected and appreciated. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options. The spa pool and saunas were very nice. Excellent location. Walking time to the Old City was about 15 minutes. We would definitely stay here again!
The staff was excellent! I had food poisoning from a local restaurant and the lady at the front desk was very kind and looked up a local pharmacy for me to get electrolytes. The lobby was large and accommodating for baggage, the room was large, new and stylish with brick walls, nice bedding and renovated surroundings. I would definitely stay here again.
Ivana was fantastic. She checked us out and gave us great information about Mostar where we headed next. This is a fantastic value immediately outside the old town of Split. Very nice room and bed. I would defiantly stay here again. Only issue was that they required cash and this was not clear on the booking with hotels.com.
