I am familiar with the area so did not need directions, but I did overhear others ask for directions and places of interest - the front desk was wonderful giving suggestions and directions. Food, gas, downtown area, C&O Canal are all within 5-10 min from the hotel. The hotel was clean and staff friendly. "
