There was a great selection for breakfast and it was possible to choose what you wanted for a cooked breakfast. Fantastic, quirky stay with mugshots of criminals lining the walls and prison doors into rooms. Would definitely stay again"

"I stayed at the Westgate pub when in Winchester for work. The staff were friendly, my room was cosy and comfortable, and the food was great. The Westgate felt like a safe, welcoming place to stay and I would definitely visit again. "

"The property was basic, as expected, but the host's behavior was shockingly unprofessional and erratic. After honestly correcting a simple booking mistake (one guest instead of two) and promptly offering payment, the host initially seemed polite but slow to respond. Things turned serious when I accidentally locked myself out of the bedroom—without shoes or phone—and urgently contacted him via my smartwatch. He claimed he'd arrive in an hour but vanished for hours, ignoring multiple calls....

"What a charming place to stay! The Inn is quite picturesque and is in a quiet little village. Our room was very comfortable. Andrew and his wife are very helpful and welcoming. We had pizza at the inn which was very good. They also offer breakfast for £10. We highly recommend this place! Very close to Winchester. "
