Hotels in Windsor Park

"Only problem was not with the Hotel but with the Council with unreasonable parking requirements. Because the Hotel has no parking you have to pay Council for the privilege to park on the street which equates to about $13 NZD per day. "

"Cool building but hotel itself needs rennovation. Room, to our great surprise, had no bathroom (or ac, or accessible plugs, or adequate lighting, or bedside table). Street noise is CONSIDERABLE, especially the trains which seem like they are running through the room, several times a nights. You can also hear everyone else on the floor, and loud car/truck noise from the street. When we arrived, the reception area was filled with dirty laundry and noone in sight. The place has potential - it is a beautiful street and quirky historical building- but the hotel really needs to step it up. Probably the least comfortable place we stayed in in New Zealand."

"There was shops across the road and nextdoor. Staff were really nice and accomodating as we arrived very early. Parking was right at the door and no problem with space."

"Had 2 nights in Oamaru, easy to find, happy reception, clean, warm room, comfortable bed."

"A clean room for a reasonable price. We also didn’t expect a second room with two beds. One criticism is that the beds in the second room were not very comfortable. We started there because they were further from the road and then moved to the main room, where the bed was great. Because these were beds we did not expect, I didn't downgrade my rating. Oh, also, having access to a full kitchen was more than we expected."

"Convenient location and comfortable and well appointed room - perfect for our one night stay in Oamaru. Easy parking and ground floor room made access very easy. Would not hesitate to recommend to other travellers. We didn’t use the on site restaurant or bar facilities so can’t comment on that."
