Very high quality property. It’s too beautiful to call it a Motel. It’s like a luxury mountain condo, fully furnished and equipped with all high-end products and fittings. The View out the window is fantastic. Jetted tub and Manuka honey spa products in the large bathroom were luxurious. Great kitchen with all you would need to cook a real meal and real living room space with comfortable leather sofa.
We really enjoyed our stay at Aoraki Mountain Lodge. The property is older, but it is well maintained, comfortable, and offered excellent value for the price. The location is very convenient, especially given the limited number of accommodations and services available in Mount Cook Village.

My first time staying at a Haka House hostel and I was blown away! They kindly let me check in early as my bed was ready and a towel was provided upon request. I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm but it felt more like a 4 bed because of the way the room was divided. The beds were very well thought out with little shelves, a reading light, outlets, and a privacy curtain. The lockers were huge. Bathrooms were clean and shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided which was a pleasant surprise. I...

Didn't realize that we needed to be there by 6 p m called ahead, and staff was able to help us to be able to find our room.And get checked in at 10 p m. With no fuss at all.

Westhaven Motel was an excellent place to stay. Not only was this a wonderful motel in its own right, but it is mere steps from all the glacier guided tour companies in the center of town. Nick (the winter motel manger) made us feel right at home, and was very kind to drive us to Lake Matheson (which saved us a 20 min walk on a very cold day)! Highly recommended.
The motel is somewhat older, but very well maintained and in perfect condition. Large & comfortable rooms, good Wi-Fi. The owner is very helpful and hospitable. We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The motel is off the main road, about halfway between the two main attractions of Fox Glacier village: the glacier and Lake Matheson. We had two sunny days and could see the snow capped peaks of Mount Tasman & Mount Cook from our room.
