A beautiful place to relax, but, besides relaxing and eating/drinking in (very) expensive restaurants, not a lot to do. 3 nights was plenty for us - enough for some beach, some wandering the small streets / boutiques, and hiking Il Sentiero degli Dei

I loved it, but be prepared to walk and climb stairs EVERYWHERE you go. Everything is built into the sides of cliffs, parking is very hard to find, and while excellent, food requires work or a shuttle to get to. This is NOT a trip for the lazy!

Be prepared for a lot of walking uphill, but the city is beautiful vibrant, a lot of shopping and restaurants. Look up restaurants before you arrive as most of them for dinner need a reservations

Pack light - there are lots of stairs and walking! Positano is small but very cute. Great for couples but wouldn't recommend for small children or strollers!

Town was very crowded in October, can not imagine how bad May/June must be, not sure I would visit in the spring.

"Everything about it was beautiful. No complaints, except that the room was tiny. But everything else was AMAZING. Great staff, wonderful breakfast, nice bar, beautiful patio. "
"The best location of any luxury hotel by far. Easy to walk to all attractions, yet quiet and relaxing when at the pool. Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, impecably clean. Highly recommend."
"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Miramare in Positano. The location was perfect — close enough to everything without being too high up the hill. While there were a few steps to reach the hotel (as expected in Positano), it was far more manageable compared to many other places in the area.
The view from our room was absolutely stunning — waking up to that iconic Positano coastline every morning was unforgettable. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always happy to help and made us feel right at home. They made it one to remember for us on such a special occasion!
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Positano!"
"We have been to Positano a few times and every time we have stayed at Buca Di Bacco. The rooms have been recently refurbished and are lovely. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Everything is clean. The hotel staff is always welcoming and kind, ready to help with anything. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the bay is a highlight. And the Buca Di Bacco restaurant has delicious food - we are in love with the pasta with lemon sauce! All the waiters were fun and hospitable. The close proximity to the beach is another highlight. We loved that we didn’t have to climb the steep streets to get back to our hotel after our days out on the beach, and on boat excursions.
A lovely place to spend a few summer days."
"WOW…we didn’t know what to expect and we found heaven @ Hotel Le Agavi. From the front desk staff, room service, housekeeping and the Sommelier!! 15 out of 10 stars. If you want to pay a little more to have your own beach club,
Pool, restaurants, spa, gym this is your spot. If you want luxury service with the best view of the coast, Le Agavi. Free shuttle into town to go out every night or you can take the boat taxi. We absolutely loved it and we will be back next year. "
