Ocean Eden Bay - Adults Only - All inclusive

8/10 Good

"The hotel grounds are really beautiful and well kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My room was not ready when I checked in, but the hotel held my luggage and provided access to restaurants, shower etc. in case I wanted to eat and refresh myself while I waited. My room (junior garden view with 2 queen beds) was spacious and clean and any issues were addressed quickly. Although I stayed on the adults only side, I still had access to the family side which has a water park and lazy river (warning your hair will get wet) and the amenities there. The Tepanayki was a great experience but it was difficult to secure reservations. I will definitely be back to this resort."

"The customer services was horrible my room had the worst smell. I had to request another room and had to pay then when I got the new room it smelled so horrible. I would like my money back for the payment of the knew room. That resort will not last if customer services doesn’t change"

"We arrived at excellence at 1pm. We were told that our room wasn't ready as yet. We were told check in was at 3 and to go have lunch till then. We got back to the front desk at 3. Our room still wasn't ready. We sat in the reception area for an additional two and a half hours. We had to go back to reception repeatedly to get any updates. First we were told it was a maintenance issue and they had to switch rooms. Then they told us it was being cleaned. We were told they would upgrade our room for the inconvenience. We finally got into our room at 5:45. Reception called to check that we were comfortable and reiterated that we would be upgraded. Our toilet started leaking so we called reception. They sent maintenance. Then told us that yes they would upgrade us the next day for a few days but not for the entirety of our stay. We declined the upgrade. The bed was ok. The pillows were flat as a board and hard as a rock. Very uncomfortable nights . For our inconvenience they offered us dinner on the beach and access to the ex excellence club amenities. Day 1 we went to the private Beach. Nice set up. Concierge service with coveted cabanas. No lounge chairs to tan. I was given the option of laying a towel on the sand to get sun. Private dinner got rained out so dinner was on a private balcony. Dinner was good except for the roaming aggressive cats. We will not be going back. The staff was exceptional. The room size and layout fantastic. But our experience was not excellent."

"This is an older resort but it’s authentic to Jamaica. The staff were amazing!!! If you want to feel the relaxed feeling of being home, this is definitely the place to be. The food was delicious and the drinks were very good. The beach was tiny but nice. There’s a larger beautiful beach for people who want something bigger. The large pool was great and the water slide was really fun. We loved it that the resort was small. We will definitely be returning!! One love!!"
