"We got to the property and did not have the upgraded rooms. Apparently they don’t read their emails or bookings from Expedia. We had to scramble to get just regular rooms. The actual rooms hardly anything worked including the locks, the safe, the bathtub did not work properly. It was quite a disappointment. Considering we thought we were getting an upgraded experience. I would not go there again. "

"It was a slice of paradise. Even though it looked great in photos, it is far more special in real life. Within moments of arriving we saw a crocodile swimming in the lake! There are peacocks wandering about and the place is full of nature. The villas are beautiful and spacious with a great double bath, and plunge pool. We were looked after by Dissas, who made our stay perfect. He was charming and so helpful. He arranged a great eco friendly elephant safari for us. We highly recommend staying at...

Room is ok not that great. Too many insects because of bushes and trees all around the property. Gieco running on the floor of the room.
Had to go to the front desk every time for service. No phone/TV in the room. No light switch above the bed. Had to go to the front door to turn off lights and walk in the dark to the bed. Not convenient at all."

After visiting Sigiriya in the morning, we decided at the very last minute to catch the train from Habarana station (30 min drive from Sigiriya) to Colombo. We were struggling to contact a tuk-tuk driver with so little notice, so one of the employees...
