Notable for its sports, Kaunas features attractions such as Lithuanian Zoo and S. Darius and S. Girenas Stadium. This historical city has something for everyone including sights like St. Michael the Archangel Church and Shopping and entertainment center Akropolis.
Lovely small city, felt very safe. Loads of places to walk, parks, pedestrian ways, and along the rivers. Also very easy to get around by bus, and if the bus's aren't right then they have Bolt (similar to Uber). Great places to eat and good value

Beautiful town, we visited at Christmas, so very festive around the town and a Christmas market. Good choice of restaurants, Great train service to visit Vilnius, and bus service for the 9th fort.

Take a train to get to Vilnius from Kaunas. It takes you in an hour and a bit there. Cost 8 euros one way. Views amazing. The trains very modern and comfortable.

It is a quiet city. Vilnius is very easily accessible. I walked around at night by myself and didn't feel uncomfortable at anytime.

I hadn't read much about Kaunas before I came, so didn't know too much, but it exceeded my expectations
"It is great hotel in a really great location close to downtown, local zoo, and 15 min drive from airport. Staff knows english so it was easy to communicate. Laundry services was great and we were able to wash our stuff prior flight back. Very great and clean hotel. Room services were on time and room has been cleaned every day"
"The location of the apartments is excellent, close to attractions and plenty of cafes & restaurants & within walking distance of supermarkets for self catering! We stayed in the family apartment and found it very clean with sufficient kitchen equipment to allow self catering. A toaster would have been nice and a small brush & pan to clean crumbs etc would help. The only downside is traffic noise for light sleepers but I did get used to it! The air conditioning was great as there was a heatwave while we were staying and we appreciated the luggage lockers on our final day, as our flights were in the evening but we had to be out for 11. Overall it was an excellent experience."
