"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

Det var et fantastisk sted og alt fungerer, beliggenheden er også perfekt udgangspunkt til udflugter og byen super hyggelig. Værelserne og indretningen er gennemført og nyt og lækkert. Ekstra lækkert var saunaen."

"I had a very enjoyable stay at AHORN Harz Hotel Braunlage. The location is ideal for exploring the Harz mountains, and the views from the room were lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly, and there were plenty of amenities like the pool and sauna to enjoy after a day of hiking.
