"My family of 5 chose a 2BR cottage on the second floor at Saltaire Cottages. We absolutely loved it; direct access to the beach, literal 10 more steps than the “ocean front” houses. Community pool was the perfect temperature and so clean. Property staff were onsite daily, but not too early or too late as to cause a disturbance. "This place was a special retreat from all the commercialization of the Kitty Hawk area. It is located in and near one of the few original maritime forests on the island. You could hear all the frogs and crickets singing at night. Each room has a balcony with porch swing, overlooks the water, and has a spectacular sunset view. We would definitely stay here again!!"
