"Annual trip to Scarborough for the cricket The Crescent is the best hotel I have found. I especially like the new menu in the lounge (along with the Scarborough Fair beer at 6%) I think they need to think about global warming (who would have thought that you might need air conditioning in Scarborough?). "This property is in an excellent location opposite the harbour with amazing views. The room was a good size and warm considering the freezing weather. It seemed to be recently decorated with a modern bathroom. Lots of wardrobe space and a king size bed. However, there were some issues in the room including a very scaly kettle, only 2 teabags, 1 shower gel, no glasses, no bathmat, flat batteries in tv remote, and only half a loo roll. "Old building but still grand. Nice and quiet, good nights sleep. Convenient for the centre of scarbrough. Pleasant staff."

"Some areas could do with a little TLC (ie paint finishes and stains) but beyond that, it was spotless. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was great and good prices. The hotel was quiet, even with a bar downstairs. I stayed with my granddaughter on the 3rd floor. Twin room small but adequate. Easy walk to train station and down to South Bay. We will be going again! "

"Lovely little hotel, very central to town. We chose the hotel as we were there for a festival at the Spa, it is just a few minutes away from Scarborough Spa. The staff are friendly and very kind. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around, and it's just a short stroll to the beach. The hotel also provides earplugs as the seagulls can get rather loud. "
