It was quiet bcuz they didn’t have the usual modular HVAC system which was great. The room smelled of weed, the mattress coverings were very stained as was the carpet. The bathroom and sink area floor were sticky and dirty and the 1950s brown pink and black tile and blue tub cd use an update. The one inch gap around the tub revealed 1950s pink tile, 1970s poorly cut linoleum and a lot of dirt. The office person was very nice but clearly this property isn’t quite so Grand for $124 and either needs gutted or bulldozed.

Older place with central air rather than room controlled but it was comfortable and met our needs.

Nice older motel. I liked it. Clean, quiet, would stay at again. Nothing fancy but covers the basics. Came in after dark and the parking lot, also, was dark. Could use a light or two in the parking lot and replace one or two in the sign.

It was a nice stay The motor inn is retro but is very well cared for. It was nice to be able to hop out of the car with my bag and walk a few steps into a room. I had to go back to office multiple times for questions, ice, and locked myself out and the woman at the front desk was always pleasant. It was nice to support a working family and not a corporation.

The room had a separate living/dining Space in addition to the sleeping area. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Mattresses could be updated and there were very few electrical outlets for our electronics. Had an eight plug extension cord at another hotel and it filled the bill very nicely. Great place for the price and the location was very good for us in our travels.

It has central air conditioning which you can’t turn down. The room was at a 55 to 60 degree temperature. I froze with extra blankets on. The room smells like a fabric softener factory. The carpet needs a deep cleaning. Walking on it bare foot makes them black.

Only grand in the owners mind

Grumpy reception who demands to lecture all room occupants about her no smoking pilicy to people who do not smoke. If you want you to go back to the happy days era with the original bedding, carpet, and pink tile bathroom, this is your place. No night stands, electric plugs, few towels and no room temperature control. Smoke alarm comes on and stays on long after the shower is done.

My room deposit US$150 was not refunded. I was given quite a rude intro about not smoking or I’d be ejected. Assured the manager I do not smoke. About an hour after I arrived, the manager rang my room and accused me of smoking in my room because I left my door open. The A/C was not working. Was told to shut my door and stop smoking or I’d be ejected. Open door would effect the A/C. I tried to say I was not smoking and the A/C was not working. Manager would not listen. I do not smoke. Never have. No damage was done. Also the power stopped during the night. When I left the office was closed (despite being advertised it was open) so I couldn’t tell the manager what had happened and ensure I got my deposit back.

Old fashioned room with few amenities.

Deadbolt doesn’t work and the knob with twist lock is loose. Floor vent has no temp control. Manager has to turn on and off. Staff very friendly and room had lots of space.

Good old Grand Days

For a 75 yr old Motel, our stay was good. Tammy was very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. A strange smell in the room and very soft mattress were only downsides. Great spot to run the dog in the back.

Affordable and clean!

Very clean and staff is very friendly. A very good affordable option for a night. Though the furniture was outdated and worn the place was very clean and had been well maintained.
