We rented two rooms for the same price. We were told they were both beautiful. They were both nice, but one was spacious with a beautiful view, the other small and under the roof with a small window and not much of a view. That was disappointing. Other than that, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We did enjoy our stay and would stay there again.

Starkes Hotel, wie der Name schon sagt mit Aussicht über die Donau. Das angeschlossene Restaurant war wg Corona leider geschlossen. Aber wir haben dort das frühstück genossen. Man muss den sehr zuvorkommenden Service am Gast loben (wir erhielten aufgrund von Gehbehinderung ein schönes upgrade), was wir so in Deutschland überhaupt nicht gewohnt sind.

Das haben wir nicht erwartet

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage und ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Die gegenüberliegende Tiefgarage des Hotels ist für die meisten modernen Autos viel zu eng. Unser Zimmer war modern und geschmackvoll gestaltet. Aber überraschend klein und mit viel zu wenigen Ablagen. Kein Stuhl, kein Tisch, nur 2 Hocker. Das Zimmer lag direkt unter dem Restaurant und war außergewöhnlich hellhörig. Das Schlafen war sehr schwierig und kurz. Die TV-Fernbedienung und der Duschkopf wurden offensichtlich seit sehr langer Zeit nicht gereinigt. Und das in Coronazeiten. :( Der Holzfußboden im Zimmer war sehr abgenutzt und machte dadurch einen unsauberen Eindruck. Beim Frühstück durfte jeder an den Kaffeeautomaten. Ist das zur Eindämmung des Coronavirus sinnvoll? Alles andere wurde an den Tisch gebracht. Leider von einem Kellner ohne Mundschutz und Handschuhe!! Er brachte zB den großen Brötchenkorb, den jedes Hotel kennt, an jeden Tisch und die Gäste, ebenfalls ohne Mundschutz, sagten mit Blick in den Korb welches Brötchen sie wollen. Coronavirus?! Insgesamt war das Frühstück in Ordnung, aber es fühlte sich an wie ein Bausatz, bei ständig etwas fehlt. Warum? Butter, Wurst, Käse, alles kam irgendwann mal einzeln(!) samt Kellner “vorbei“. Außer Obst, dass gab es leider nicht, nur auf dem Dessert, was auch irgendwann mal vorbeikam. Was kostet das? Für 3 Personen, eine Nacht, stolze 250€. Dafür haben wir wirklich schon sehr viel bessere Hotels erlebt. Schade.
