If you're used to budget motels, this one is excellent! I am an older female traveling on my own and I felt quite safe here. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Rooms are very nice and clean, inside and out. Grounds and rooms are well maintained. I was able to park right in front of my room. It was quiet. Couldn't ask for anything more!

Had to change between three rooms. Staff was didn’t want to see if any of my issues were serious and by the time they did I was on my third room. Lost out on 122 dollars after switching to the third room because staff asked us to leave. 1st room… ac didn’t work 2nd room… ac worked but tv didn’t 3rd room… ac worked but couldn’t change the temperature and there wasn’t a remote for the tv.

The staff wasn’t very attentive at all. I booked a room in advance and I’m sure the staff knew I was going to be there for two days in a row. The room they gave me didn’t have a closet or any place to hang any clothes up. The room was booked for two adults and there were only two very thin towels and one face towel in the bathroom when I got there. I booked a non-smoking room and the smoke detector had been removed from the ceiling. The microwave that was located outside of the room needed to be cleaned and it didn’t work well (took too long to heat up the food). The parking lot is very small but that’s typical for the Los Angeles area. The photos that Starlight Inn La Brea have posted on Hotels.com don’t look anything like the actual room that I stayed in. Me being from Las Vegas maybe I’m spoiled because I’m used better service and better accommodations. Me personally I will never book this motel ever again.
