Great stay.

Lovely place. Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff was excellent and our evening meal and breakfast were really good. Perfect stop-off for our journey to Cornwall. Would stay again.

Nice 2 day break

Nice clean accommodation and friendly atmosphere, good food but we found a little pricey but this seemed to be reflective of the area. Very nice inn

Romantic getaway

Wonderful hotel with a romantic feel to it. It's a 16th century stagecoach inn with all the modern amenities.

Good value for money very nice staff warm and comfortable the only issue was noise from the next door room as walls are thin.

Lovely Old Coaching Inn

Very nice old coaching inn. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Evening menu quite extensive, reasonably priced and very good quality. Also a good full English breakfast in the morning. The room was quiet and clean with a comfortable bed. Brilliant place for a night stop.
Stephen, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The room was very clean and comfortable. Quite steep stairs up to the rooms. Fine if you have no mobility issues. The pub is closed on a monday so food and drink unavailable. Lovely breakfast in the morning. I would stay again.

Perfectly situated near a friend's wedding venue. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning which was included with the room. Very easy and felt safe
Ayla, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The actual pub was quite nice but the room in the annexe was dire. No hot water, dated old furniture, grimy shower, minute TV with poor reception.Door to room poorly fitted with huge gap at the bottom meaning we had to put a towel there to stop the light from landing making the room to light to sleep.
peter, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

This is a wonderful location for us, especially with the large parking lot compared to tight roads and limited parking. The breakfast included was great and the evening fish and hips was huge helpings to fill us up. The only issue we had was the narrow, steep stairs to the second floor. We compromised and put the items we needed into backpacks and left the 2 large suitcases in the car. It was a treat to sta at a 1600 inn.
KATHLEEN, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

The time of check in was from 14:00 but on arrival the housekeeper was cleaning the rooms and we eventually gained access to the room at 16:30 which clearly was not acceptable. The carpet leading in the corridor leading to the rooms was riddled with stains giving a bad feeling that it was unclean. There was even a large chunk of carpet missing on the stairs which could have been dangerous. The door into the bar had a broken piece of glass which you could easily cut yourself on.

10/10 Exceptional

Loved the quaint B&B and the very friendly staff. The food in the pub was great. Best Fish & Chips we've had in the UK. Our room was small but comfortable. Glad we had beautiful sunny weather but it made it a little too warm for us in the room, but of course we aren't expecting A/C in a classic building. We love the charm & character and wouldn't have it any other way.
Cheryl, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

Charming 16th century coaching inn with original features. The room was clean and tidy if a little plain and tired could do with a make over. TV too small to view comfortably from the bed. Carpet thread bare on the very steep stairs leading to rooms. Food was good breakfast excellent evening meal was good but very expensive with extras attached to many dishes, had to eat in the bar with all the noise, ment we could not converse comfortably over our meal. The price for our dog on trivago was put at £10-00 but the hotel wanted £15-00. It would be nice if you could agree as to who is correct. We will not be returning.

The property has a lot of country charm. The inn and restaurant are quite comfy and the food was delicious! The staff are very attentive. Our room was economical and thus small-ish. The twin beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and neat. Overall, very pleased with the accommodations and service.
