Right by the beach

This has direct access to the beach with a great view. The service is great with a bar by the pool. They will even serve you on the beach side when you are relaxing by the provided areas with the chairs and shade. Service was great and the staff was very helpful. The Malecon is like a 4 min walk away from the hotel. There are iguanas that hang by the pool which I really enjoyed but if you don't be warned. Overall can't complain on the price I paid and the amenities offered.

It was a great place! our room was so spacious! I have little kids and it was perfect for us! I know theres a club on weeknights and it was a tad tough to sleep but you get use to it. Everyone who works here is amazing! There helpful and so nice!

I was upgraded to the Mykonos suite shortly after arrival. A beautiful ocean front/ocean view room on the 7th floor. The views were breathtaking. The lush vegetation all around the perfectly manicured landscape was very calming and beautiful. The lobby is open and airy. The staff were very polite, accommodating and helpful. The pool area was beautiful. There was plenty of seating on the beach with impressive beach access! The bar was on point. Walkable to many shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this property. This was my first trip to Mexico and Gaviana was perfect!! I can't wait to come back!

I would have liked to have given our stay here more stars because the hotel was beautiful and clean, the location was so good for what we wanted. Lots of restaurant choices just across or down the street within 1-5 minutes walk, and the beach was phenomenal! But this hotel has one major problem. The noise. I’d read the odd review mentioning the noise but you always wonder if the person writing the review just likes to exaggerate. However I’m surprised how understated the noise issue is. Our first room was located on one side of the building overlooking a bar that has a brass “Banda” that plays until midnight and then dance music til 4am nightly. Not just weekends. Every night. The concrete on the hotel acts like an amphitheatre and the band sounds like it’s right outside your door. There is no way to sleep through it. It’s LOUD. So after 3 nights when we realized it was not just a Friday and Saturday thing we asked to be moved to a quieter room which they did with no questions (turns out everyone asks to be moved from these rooms!) Unfortunately we were moved and downgraded from a balcony/ocean view to no balcony and a tree blocking the only window. And right above another bar that plays dance music til 4am with bass that literally rattles the windows. Again, no sleep. We lasted 3 nights there before talking to another couple who told us the quiet area is the centre and that they moved 3 times before discovering it. Finally we found a room that we could sleep in.

Gaviana Resort

The hotel resort is nice. Not the best. On service they tried to make it good. Got my room and didn't have towels, had to call front desk. My floor my dirty, had ask them sweep it while I was there. Not all rooms have safe. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my passports in our room. Easy walking access to stores, vendors and restaurants. Bought a cooler to keep my drinks cold in my room, because no fridge. Expect loud music at night if your not a party person. Got to see cool Iguanas!!
