For the price point, this hotel gave us way more than we expected. The staff was so helpful with directions, suggestions, and more. The rooms are immaculate and the optional breakfast was lovely. Don’t get fooled by the word hostel, it’s a hotel. The location was close to trams, bakeries, and markets.

Great value for money. Good transportation connections into town. Tram stop is a 2min walk away. Also plenty of eat outs places within short distance (and very affordable). Particularly enjoyed the eat out in infront of the tram stop serving local cuisine. Broad range of delicious food where the menu was also changed daily which was great!! A&O is popular with school kids travelling on school trips (so bear in mind when waiting on the lifts in the mornings which can take longer). Daily room housekeeping was basic. A more thorough housekeeping (changing of towels, changing beddings etc) has to be booked in advance and is at an additional levy. Facilities otherwise were always kept very clean. Staff at the reception were great, very jolly and conversant in different languages which is a big plus

Good value for money

Super value for money. Nice size room and bathroom. Slowest elevators in the world, might be just me, but with that many young people staying there, can't they take the stairs down, so i wouldn't need to carry my 20 kg suitcase from 4th floor. Ok that was me being grumpy, and as such not the hotels fault. Reception staff seemed a bit busy and it took a moment to get them to smile. But that being said, there must have been atleast 3 school classes staying there :) I'd be exhausted if that was me. All in all. If you're looking for cheap, clean and good value for money lodging, this is totally the place for you.
