10/10 Excellent

I’m not a B&B guy but we were on a 5500 mile motorcycle trip and wanted a two night rest stay in this area. Pictures of the Green Room looked perfect for a rest and there was no disappointment. The host was gracious and there was no weird B&B vibe. The home was truly special… just the whole thing was first rate. The room, the absurdly decadent breakfast, and even Ivy the dog was just so enjoyable. If you love chain hotels you might not like it. But if you’re open to a unique experience, you’ll love this stay.

Wonderful stay after our tour of the Grand Mesa. Marty was a great host - super friendly. Enjoyed a short little bike ride with him in the morning followed by a tasty breakfast.

Best scones we've ever had

Hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. Delicious breakfast. Hosts were gracious enough to sit down and chatty with us during breakfast. Very interesting adobe home. It was built by the owners themselves, from scratch (they even built the bricks themselves).

Great get away.

The food was out of this world Terry is so talented with her kitchen skills. Very relaxed and Marty is very interesting. Pretty clean and very good with our dog who is 60lbs and old. No TV but an amazing library to hang out in.

We arrived and instantly felt welcomed by the hosts and their dog. The house itself was incredible to say the least - the architecture, the decor, the view from the back patio. The hosts also made us an incredible breakfast. One night stay here was not nearly enough time. We definitely plan to come back.

The hosts were very accommodating and very pleasant. They obviously take a lot of pride into what they created and rightfully so. The room and the shower was so peaceful along with deer grazing outside your window. There is nothing that is not superb about staying here . The home baked scones and the breakfast crepes was scrumptious.. Much to look forward to wake up to .

The house is a unique, commodious creation of its builders-owners, residents. I felt totally peaceful and welcome in this secluded area within their home, which is near the roads I needed, yet immersed in the pine woods. I was in this mountainous area for my niece's outdoor wedding on Grand Mesa, which we celebrated over the entire weekend. Just a 10 minute drive took me from the young peoples' revelries to my retreat, where the delightful hosts provided home-cooked breakfasts and warm companionship (I requested that they sit and eat with me; they would have otherwise left me in privacy.) I hope I need to return soon.

Colorado Gem

Every once in awhile, you hit the jackpot in travel. Maison de Terre, tucked into a hill overlooking Cedaredge and valley is a family run Bed and Breakfast. When the host opened the door to our room, we stepped through the door to European charm. Fresh flowers in a vase, french doors opening to a patio with a view of grasses, trees and distant lights. Every single thoughtful detail added to the delight of staying here. We woke at 2am and opened the doors for star gazing. We saw the Milky Way. When we opened the curtains in the morning, a deer was gazing in at us:)) We were served a delicious breakfast, replete with home-made scones, on our patio. We will be back with friends.

Overall, our stay was good. Our only concerns were the cleanliness of the linens and dirty dishes left in our room. The home was beautiful, was very hospitable.

Beautiful home with wonderful hosts! Breakfast was really good with scones that were delicious! Huge relaxing bath tub. Deer were in the front yard to tell us goodbye the day we left.

Can’t wait to return!

What an absolute gem! The hosts were so kind and the place made us feel so relaxed, I wish I could do a permanent vaca there! This home was so inspiring! If you are creative or like architecture, this is a must stop! Ps. The hot chocolate is their recipe and a must try before you leave. We can’t wait to return!
