Would of been a 5 but upon check-in they require a separate $100 deposit. I asked for what? They desk clerk said it us for smoking or pet smell cleaning (it was a non smoking room and no pets). I did receive the deposit back. They have a REAL continental breakfast, eggs, sausage. I would stay there again.

Food was not so good, had to wait 30 minutes for a maintenance man to come fix our lights when we arrived there was no power in the room. Asked for housekeeping to grab the dirty towels while we were away for the day and that didn’t happen. Waited over an hour for a comforter for the bed then had to go get it ourselves. Let me start by saying the property is under construction. While this was not disclosed in any booking notes, when we arrived my kids sarcastically said, “I didn’t realize we were going to the Ritz in a gated community?!” There are construction gates surrounding the building. When walking in, it feels updated and so were 2/3 of our rooms, though doors and jams are still needing to be dealt with properly and professionally. The room that was not updated at least had new mattresses, the sitting chair had holes throughout, old furniture, and odd light switches. The plumbing across all rooms WAS TERRIBLE! The outdoor pool is not open!! The hotel smelled like a fresh smoked marijuana shop throughout the halls. The dining room had minimal seating and the breakfast was aweful! The waffle batter tasted sour! Overall, I gave it two stars because they are at least attempting to renovate the building, but they really should disclose this when booking.

The room was clean and did not have carpet! That was an upgrade as carpet always holds odor. Bathroom was dated but clean. The courtyard area/gazebo had not been mowed and someone left empty beer cans all over. Overall, it was a comfortable room for the weekend visit to the area. The staff was friendly and nice.
