Check was not so good. Not enough staff at desk. Person ahead of us offered water in a bag. Not us. No ice available on 3rd, 2nd, or 1st floor. Had to go to 5th. Room not cleaned after first the night, but no one told us. Requested towels and got them. Breakfast not good. Coffee great. Checkout easy. I stay a lot of Hampton Inn but will take this location off my list. if you're going charge what you charge, Value needs to be given.

CIGARETTE SMOKEY ROOM BUT THEY MADE IT RIGHT
Upon check in the staff at the desk were very nice. Our room, however, smelled horribly like cigarette smoke. We were given a room change immediately that was MUCH better. When you first enter the room, there's vinyl plank flooring which is nice. However the rest of the room is OLD awful carpet that actually had tears in it. would be a huge improvement to just do the vinyl plank flooring throughout. Thanks for the room change!

The employee at the front desk showed no enthusiasm what-so-ever when we arrived for check in. I don’t expect much, but when the receptionist looks annoyed when customers arrive, it does not paint a good picture of the hotel. Other than that, a decent hotel for a few nights.

A miserable checkin
All good apart from checkin. The hotel checkin girl didn’t say hi, didn’t look me once in the eye, did not smile - just really miserable and looked like she didn’t want to be there or me to be there

A few things have changed over the many years that we have been booking at the Norwood hotel! First the smell of marijuana coming from one of our neighbors room was offensive, Second, the quality of the breakfast has declined over the past few years, most noticeably when even the water fountain inside the breakfast room was out of water.

I woke up in the morning with a strange red mark on stomach area which I noticed as I entered the shower. Upon looking closer, I noticed there was a small black spot in the center that turned out to be a bug of some kind. I pulled it off my stomach and saw that it was moving - obviously alive! I placed it on a tissue and showed it to the staff at the front desk upon my checking out. I was given a business card with the name of the hotel’s manager and assured that he or someone would follow up on the issue. Nobody did! I subsequently called several times - unsuccessfully attempting to reach the manager. I was kept on hold several times - over 42 minutes on one of those occasions. The girl at the front desk (Geifa) told me that I would be acknowledged by the manager very shortly, but ultimately being sent to a voice message. The manager (Steve Altieri) NEVER accepted my calls or return my messages.
I have been a loyal Hilton Honors member for many, many years and I very often choose Hampton Inn hotels as my preferred place to stay. I have never experienced anything like this in my life! I am appalled at your customer service and how your people ignore your guest’s needs and/or problems. It appears to me right now, that you have no intention to investigate or correct any problem that your guests may have. You are totally ignoring my issue and me as a valued customer! Your manager is totally disrespectful. I also feel that I should seek medical inspection. Stay tuned.
