A light bulb in the vanity was burned out, the telephone appeared to not work and the tv remote was missing a back. The floor of the room needed to be swept or vacuumed as there was dirt on it. Also the carpet in the hallway was dirty. It was loud and I was a little worried about security.

The room was clean but there were many spots where it has not been cleaned. No one showed up to make the continental breakfast so we were given a $20 credit that was not even enough to buy breakfast. Will not stay at Red Lion again.

Almost exceptional

Room was very roomy. Interior looks new. Bed is comfortable. Room was clean except the floor felt sticky and little bit dirty if you barefoot in the room and found pet fur even though I asked for a pet free room.

It was good, but the room temperature was all over, they need to update there ac system. I’ve stayed here many times and it’s like that in all the rooms it’s either really cold or hot but always humid. The beds ain’t that comfortable either. But service is good, roomy, and clean.

Long wait to check in, hotel hasn't been updated since the 70's. Mold in the shower. Twice went to breakfast and it was all gone. Complained to front desk and he had to go find the kitchen employee. Didn't wait around for breakfast.

Disappointed in this last stay. Have stayed here many times in the past years. The room felt like a hot damp sauna even with the AC on. The floors felt like they had heat cables in them they were so warm. Then when we tried the shower at 7 a.m. there was absolutely NO hot water. Not even luke warm. Still none by 8:30 a.m. Check-in was very unfriendly the night before. Acted like we were a big bother to even be there. Much different than the stay a few nights prior.

Grossly Misrepresented

I rarely leave negative reviews unless I think it is important for others to know. Honestly, I wish someone would have said these things so I could make an informed decision before I stayed here. I did not expect luxury by any means, but I do believe this property was vastly misrepresented. The room was not very clean - hair and dirt was on the floor throughout the room and bathroom. The air conditioner/fan rattled loudly ALL night. The mattress must have been pretty old as it sagged quite a bit (it was difficult to roll over or change position because of how much it sagged. I would have been much better off staying at an extreme budget motel...better price and probably much better accommodations. On a positive note, I want to say that the lady that checked me in at the front desk upon arrival was very friendly and efficient.

Close to ISU and the rest of town too.

We were visiting ISU to see if it would be a good fit for my daughter. The hotel was close to campus but also close to restaurants and stores. It was quiet, the pool looked good. The hot tub was nice. The price was right. I got to spin the prize wheel and won a free appetizer. That was a pretty cool idea to have that. Breakfast was OK, not great but was fine. The eggs were flavorless, but sausage was good and waffles are always good. It would have been nice to have some country gravy to go with the breakfast or maybe some fruit for the waffles. Just an idea. Overall, the price was good, the bed was comfortable and the rooms were clean. I would stay there again if my daughter decides ISU is where she wants to go.
