I don't often stay at hotels, so I can't speak from much experience. The Normandy was fine. A stone's throw from everything. I chose it for the heated pool and jacuzzi - great way to end a hard day. My room was quiet, spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only thing I really didn't like was the noisy heating system which roared when it was on.
