It was especially nice to find that the Trumpeter Inn is on a large property that includes a pasture inhabited by friendly goats and alpacas that eat from your hand (food packets provided by our hosts!), outside sitting areas in lovely flower gardens, and ample room inside to meet, sit, and chat with other guests.

This is truly the best place to stay on the island! Claudia is so welcoming and goes above and beyond to take care of her guests. Every detail at her bed and breakfast is thoughtfully done—from the delicious homemade breakfast to the cozy, comfortable beds and perfectly kept rooms. I especially appreciated the convenient bedside charging stations. Claudia is also an amazing cook, and every meal was wonderful. My dad and I loved spending time with the goats and alpaca—it made our stay even more special. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you again, Claudia!

Loved this place, the property was so peaceful, multiple places set up for guests to enjoy the beautiful setting. We had fun feeding the goats & llamas. We even had a cup of coffee before breakfast sitting out by the grazing field watching them. Check in was easy, breakfast was perfect, it was out 1st Bed & Breakfast experience and it was so good. The bed was very comfortable & adjoining bathroom was very nice and roomy. The commons areas were very nice for relaxing.

This amazing bed & breakfast is in the countryside, but 5 minutes away from downtown Friday Harbor. The bed with 600 threads sheets was very comfortable, and with great views to the countryside. The breakfast was perfect and Claudia a great host, always smiling and eager to help with hiking ideas.

I bought this fun get away for my parents to explore the area. They were extremely impressed with the room, hospitality and dining! My mom is a vegetarian and a bit picky but she was blown away with the breakfast options. They couldn’t say enough good things about this property.

Host was absolutely amazing! She made us individual to-go breakfasts because she knew we were running the San Juan island half marathon in the morning and made sure we still were accommodated for. The goats and alpacas were so friendly and the property was very quiet and peaceful.

The staff were so friendly and the area was amazing. The only thing we didn’t like was the bread for breakfast, It was not fresh. Except bread, my wife and I highly recommend this place. The details and everything were so beautiful.
