I rarely leave reviews, but the service here was so poor, I felt compelled. I booked a 2 Queen room with an ocean view on the first floor. Upon arrival, I was given a single King with no view. When I pointed out the error, I was met with suspicion and called a liar until I showed my reservation. They eventually gave me a 2 Queen room—still no view—and it reeked of cigarette smoke. When I asked for a different room, I was told nothing else was available. There were several options available on their website.
During my 4-day stay, housekeeping was advertised as daily but never came. After two days, I requested towels, sheets, and trash removal. They finally came the next day, made one bed, didn’t touch the other, left no towels, and ignored the trash. I went to the desk and asked for clean sheets to change them myself. The man in uniform ignored me. A woman eventually came out, told me “no” outright, then begrudgingly handed over sheets—blood-stained ones.
The pool was cloudy and clearly uncleaned.
The lobby is nice and the location is great, but if I’m paying $300+ per night, I expect basic service and cleanliness. We visit Jekyll 1–2 times a year, but I won’t be staying at this Holiday Inn again.
