Disappointing Experience – Not What We Expected
We chose this hotel because we had a great experience staying at a La Quinta in San Antonio, TX, but unfortunately, this location was far from what was advertised. Upon entering our room, we found hair on the bedsheets and in the bathroom. The bathroom walls were stained, and there were bugs on the floor, which was extremely off-putting.
The front door to our room appeared to have been previously kicked in — the door handle and security latch were poorly repaired, leaving a large gap between the door and the frame. It didn’t feel secure at all.
The ice machine was not working, and when I asked a maintenance staff member about it, she simply said, “Well if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work,” without even making eye contact. The lack of professionalism and concern was frustrating.
We had originally booked a two-night stay but decided to cancel the second night and move to another hotel due to the condition of the room and the lack of basic cleanliness and courtesy.
