Never fear, THON is here!

Checkin was easy. Friendly lady behind the counter. Got to my room, checked everything out. Nice bathroom with futuristic mirror lighting. A way better toilet than at the Scandic Luleå. And a shower cabinet with not one, but TWO doors, creating a clear corner in the bathroom for showering, unlike the last two hotels I stayed at this trip. The room itself? HUGE. I have never stayed in a hotel room this big before. The bed was comfortable. The room was connected to a central aircon unit that gently blowed cold air into the room. This being the third night of my trip, it was the first time I actually slept under the duvet instead of having tossed it to the side. Breakfast was crowded, but that's because I got there a little later than I normally would've gotten to the buffet. In all honesty, I would've liked to have stayed another night. One: because I got late to the Tirpitz Museum outside of town and I also had other things planned. Two: because it is an amazing hotel.

Incredible view of Alta from the 6th floor. Clean & quiet. Heated floors in bathroom. Very helpful staff! Superior breakfast! Conditions were icy, so wonderful that Peppe's Pizza was next door (delicious), and the 3-story mall could be accessed without going outside. Breakfast would have cost at least $40 each in a nice American hotel. Walking distance to Northern Lights Cathedral and top restaurants in area. Wise decision to stay here!

Nice room with a great view

Spacious room in good shape with amazing views of the Cathedral and the fjord. Great counter-top space in the bathroom. Everything clean and in good shape. Wonderful breakfast. Parking in the nearby garage somewhat pricy.
