This is a a beautiful old chateau which operates as a hotel. The staff is lovely and very accommodating to travelers. I do t speak any French and the staff speaks little English but we managed just fine. I stayed in the carriage house. The room was very basic but had a remodeled bathroom. Probably the biggest issue was the heat and a lack of air conditioning. I had temps ranging from 98-102 the entire time I was there so that was hard. Just know this when you plan. The restaurant is wonderful and reasonable for Europe. It was the best food I had in three weeks traveling in Europe. One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. Breakfasts are wonderful and again, very reasonable. Fresh fruit, ham, meat and cheeses along with fresh breads and pastries. You should definitely rent a car if staying her. Ubers are a fortune to and from this location. Double of what you would expect. It’s not walkable to town or any conveniences. That said, it was a quiet and very quaint stay and again, the staff was fantastic.

We were upgraded to a beautiful room with a dressing area and large bathroom. The beds was comfortable and the location peaceful. The grounds are well maintained and there was quite a large swimming pool with sunbeds. We didn't have any meals at the chateau but the dining room looked cosy and inviting. The staff are pleasant and helpful. If we travel down this way again, we will definitely stay at Les Muids. It's a stunning place.

Stunning but disappointing

Food options, both for the evening meal and for breakfast, were disappointing, limited and very expensive. Service was okay but nothing special. Sauna was out of use. Room was nice but simple and had limited hot drink options. Could not get hot water to the shower. On-site activities included mini golf and tennis courts, however these were not maintained and had fallen into disrepair. The building and grounds were stunning, its a shame they were let down by poor service.

Bel hôtel dans un château bien entretenu avec terrasse pour le petit dej et les repas et une belle piscine. + un bel environnement. Bon niveau de service avec du personnel agréable. 2 regrets : une sur sécurité sur le plan financier qui oblige à une garantie quand bien même la chambre a été payée et une literie (couette) peu adaptée à des nuits lors d'épisodes de chaleur extrême. Mais un ensemble tout à fait satisfaisant

Belle bâtisse à moderniser !

Au bord de la D2020, ce qui est gênant la nuit quand il fait chaud (car il n'y a pas de clim !) et qu'on laisse les fenêtres ouvertes ! Le rez de chaussée et ses salons sont très agréables. En revanche les chambres mériteraient d'être modernisées. Piscine peu adaptée au petits enfants. Dîner agréable sur la terrasse, mais service un peu long. Excellent petit déjeuner avec un très bon service.
