We stayed in a dome, which was fun! The air conditioning/heating units were basically silent, which I really appreciated. Comfortable and cutely appointed space. Loved the mini-deck and chairs where you could see the dunes. Convenience to the Great Sand Dunes is what you go for.
The shared bathrooms were clean, but there are only three for all the campers and glampers. I’ve been to true campgrounds where this is a sufficient number of restrooms, but it seems like when you get a bunch of people who aren’t outdoorsy in a space like this, they don’t have appropriate awareness about how much time to spend in a -shared- bathroom, so there could be quite a wait because some folks were taking long showers. This isn’t a reflection on the lodge because they can’t control other’s lack of awarenesss, but it may be good to add a few portas or something.
