Worth it

Overall, it was a good experience! This was my first all inclusive and I’m not a fan of it, but that’s just my preference. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The resort is on the water so it’s very convenient. There are bars, cabanas, and activities to do on the campus. My highlight was a private tour I booked with Curtis Monroe. It was wonderful, we did sightseeing through the rainforest to the waterfall. All in all,I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoys all inclusive. It was a safe, friendly, peaceful, and laidback environment.

Needs management intervention NOW!

Water: They did not replenish the water bottles in the room, despite promising to fully restock the minibar every day. It was very hot during our stay so we drank a lot of water. After multiple complaints, Management promised it would be done, but it never was. Bottled water cost $8 US in the gift shop Restaurant: understaffed, long lines to be seated, we had to hunt for dishes in the buffet many times, and waitresses often ignored the guests while doing trivial other tasks in the dining room instead of serving drinks, etc. Tables lacked salt and pepper shakers and often napkins.

First arrived instead of having a motorized cart to take us & luggage to room we had to climb by foot a large hill to get to our room, Room was not clean, however, we could live with that if bed had been clean. When I pulled back the covers the comforter had lots of makeup & some blood on it, I had to have them come change all the bedding. Our fridge wasn't stocked, that took hours to fix, every day but one we had to call to have that stocked. We did not have towels on arrival. 5 out of the 9 days we had to request towels & they were slow to respond. On Friday evening our room AGAIN had not been serviced we called to request towels, this was the response: Housekeeping is taking care of the new arrivals we will get to you when we can. I found a girl with a cart & went to get towels from her, at 10:00 pm someone finally knocked on our door asking if we needed towels 2.5 hours later! We could not have even cleaned up for dinner. There is little entertainment that would an appeal to most, it was directed at a smaller few. Other than a wonderful singer one night, we found the entertainment less than enjoyable. Food was a problem, we had nothing "normal" from which to choose. Italian restaurant was edible to a point, but not good, if you could get past all the bugs biting you. Indian food was horrid, the only thing on the French restaurant menu that was good was the French Onion Soup. The buffet was minimal at best, fruit not ripe, 1/3rd of the choices normally.

As a regular Royalton Customer service was a hit or miss. There were some employees like Dontee and Samaya "Maya" who were exceptional. Others not so much, sometimes rude and unhelpful. The food was not exceptional

Got there at 9am and they told me that my room would be ready in an hour for early check in. I didn’t get a room until 6pm while they checked other people in and gave them rooms. When I finally hit my room it was the wrong room and they said there was nothing they could do. The front desk was very rude and didn’t even attempt to resolve the situation.

The view from our room was amazing. Food was okay. Housekeeping was a bit lax. Room not cleaned one day, no towels, face cloths daily. The beach was great. Always plenty of towels and comfortable beach chairs. The water is not ideal for snorkeling. It was a relaxing stay.

Royalton getaway

The Royalton Grenada was surprisingly a very average resort! The service was ok, we had a clean room, the pool area was nice and the pool bar attendants were great. I am accustomed having snacks in the room at an all inclusive, but this resort had none, and they had minimal items in a refrigerator that didn’t work. Also, there was only one washcloth in the room, I didn’t understand that, so the next day, I requested a 2nd washcloth as there were 2 people in my room, but never got it. The sea itself was nice but extremely rocky! Food at the buffet and pool area was extremely bad! They need to hire a new executive chef and add spices! I’m not even exaggerating, the food was really, really bad! This was my first experience staying at a Royalton and I think it might be my last! Oh one last thing, at the buffet, during the days we were there, the fruits were terrible! Sour pineapple and passion fruit, watery watermelon and hard honeydew melon. When we went into the town, we found the sweetest mangos and other fruits. It would have been wonderful to have some fresh local fruits that were in season at the resort!

Staff was very friendly, respectful and informative. When it came to the room, I did not get the luxury ambiance. I reserved a garden view, partial ocean view, with a King Size bed, and received two queen size beds. When asked why, I was advised, they accommodate what's available if they do not have what you reserved. The room was very moist and damped and smelled like basement. The first two nights I had a sink issue. When I advised staff of the issue and requested a room change they gave me the run around. The forth night I had the same issue and complained and requested a manager. I finally was moved for my last two nights, which I felt wasn't right, but the manager was very helpful. The new room did not smell like basement nor was it damped. They also forgot my birthday decorations which the manager did accommodate once he realized the numerous issues. The fridge in the room does not really keep your food or drinks cold. Over all the property is safe, and two minutes from the airport. They do a good job with entertainment. I'd rate the food 6 out of 10, and would eat off the resort some nights.

We did a couples body scrub and massage and used the spa facilities. Very clean, organized, and our 2 therapist were very good. One of the best massages we both had. The pools were very nice and the staff all over the property were attentive.
